I also use avoidance. Sometimes I will just choose to have a drink rather than eating when I go out to to a restaurant with friends. It is still a lot of fun!!
A high fibre diet is super important for gut health!! I eat 30+ grams of fibre each and every day!

Given the disease runs in my family, I am hopeful the DASH diet I follow will be helpful for combatting it long term as I grow older! I also currently eat a hybrid of the mediterreanean and dash diets, defaulting to meditereranean diet choices (e.g olive oil, fish, etc) within a low sodium DASH framework.
That’s a lot of fibre Beans are so good for you! I always choose low sodium.
